Fabric FAQ:

--
What is the difference between cotton and minky?
--

Our bedding is offered in two fabrics: cotton and minky. Cotton is your traditional bedding choice, whereas minky is a super-soft, low pile fabric (it has a bit of a nap to it).

Minky is always our first choice for baby bedding because it is virtually indestructible and holds up well to messy life with babies. It does not fade and has no fussy washing instructions, which makes it super easy to care for and guarantees that your bedding will be in tip top shape for a lifetime!

Our cotton is soft and smooth, and printed using an eco-friendly process. As such, it is prone to a bit of fading with wash and use. It requires special laundering (phosphate-free detergent, no fabric softener, no spot cleaning) to minimize this fading.

Can I mix cotton and minky bedding?
--

Our cotton, which is a natural fiber, prints a bit differently than our minky. Because the two fabrics undergo different print processes, products made from each of these fabrics can look a bit different in terms of color and vibrancy.

If you're looking for your items to match exactly, I would suggest sticking to either cotton or minky, keeping in mind that our sherpa blankets can only be made with minky.

If you really want to mix cotton and minky, colors differences tend to be more noticeable in some prints more than others. In my experience, prints that have reds/pinks/oranges tend to be more noticeably different than prints in other color schemes.

Shipping can be a headache, so just a couple of things to keep in mind:

Please double check your address before you submit your order. I do my best to change shipping addresses when there is a request, but I cannot be responsible for shipping addresses.

If your item has been marked as delivered but you have not received the package, there is, at that point, nothing that I am able to do. It is the customer's responsibility to track down the package on their end. I have seen this situation resolved with happy endings a number of times. I suggest speaking with neighbors to see if someone took the package in for you, talking to your mail carrier or reaching out to your local post office.

If your item shows the status of "Undeliverable as Addressed," this is another situation in which the responsibility falls to the customer. As I have no input into the way you address your package, I cannot be responsible for packages whose addresses are deemed undeliverable. If an undeliverable package is returned to me, I will issue a refund for the items or resend once a second shipping fee is paid, but if the package does not come back to me, I cannot issue a refund. It is your responsibility as the addressee, to talk to your local post office about the package, as they will surely be the most knowledgeable source on this matter.

If your domestic order has been lost in transit--that is, USPS tracking shows no movement of the item for the last 60 days--you will be issued a shop credit, pending a successful insurance claim from USPS. For international orders, I am unable to offer this same guarantee because in many cases, tracking info is not updated accurately. Please remember, packages can be held in customs at a length determined by the destination country, and I have no control over any country's customs or mail service and cannot be held responsible for delays.
